My standard protocol for 20-30-50 years old rolls is giving me consistently good results.
It is basically high concentration HC-110 and low temperature:

Keep temperature 58F/15C at all stages

Pre-soak in water for 30~60 min
One more rinse to get rid of anti-halation
HC-110 dil A for 5 min
Agitation: 5 inversions every minute+one more every 30 sec
Stop 2 min
Kodak non-hardening fixer 8~10 min
Water rinse
Hypo solution 2 min
Water 5 inversions
Water 10 inversions
Water 20 inversions
Photoflo 15~30min

found film

Hi, I have a roll of Gevaert Panchromatic film, it is apparently made before the merger with Agfa. I have been trying to find a way to develop it when I came across your post. I have also recently read that European HC110 dilutions are different than those of the USA. Here is one source that I found: http://www.covingtoninnovations.com/hc110/ You state that that you use Dilution A with your process, so are you using the more diluted HC110 or the higher concentrate HC110? I would like to get clarification before developing but I do realize that this is an older post. I will probably process it tonight or tomorrow morning.
I thank you for your time.

Re: found film

Hello,

I described my method in details here:
http://community.livejournal.com/foundfilm/16982.html
The test is the key to success. The last successful development for Gevaert PAN is recorded in my log as 3min 10sec in 10% of (american version) HC-110 at 37F/2C, but that's based on tests for the specific film. I am in USA and I use american concentrate in dilutions more concentrated than A (A is most concentrated official dilution).

Good luck with your project

Re: found film

Hi, thank you for your prompt reply. I did develop my film and it turned out well. Better than I expected actually. I have posted a thread on Photo.net here: http://photo.net/black-and-white-photo-film-processing-forum/00X1EE where I posted the best pictures and how I did it. I also posted links to your 2 posts that I found to be so helpful. The reason that I thought you might be in Europe was I followed you link to your pictures and all the wording was in what I assume to be Russian. I do credit you with my over all success on this little adventure of mine and hope other will find your results and process helpful.
Again Thank You.

Re: found film

Hi Clay,

Congratulations with the success. The images are great! I am Russian living in Miami, FL, the pictures you've seen must be from my Russian blog. The English blog is here: http://emirco.blogspot.com

Cheers!
